Recent Grants

BLMS — $7,500 to support the Innovation Lab Drone Program, expanding hands-on STEM and technology learning opportunities.

BLHS — $5,000 to support the Agricultural Education Program and provide students with enhanced career and technical learning opportunities.

Georgetown Elementary — $3,000 to purchase new playground equipment and enhance opportunities for active play and student recreation.

BLMS & BLHS — $1,643 to purchase a new drum cart supporting the middle and high school band programs.

BLHS — $1,575 to replace library tables and improve the learning and collaboration spaces available to students.

Paris Elementary — $1,062 to support an educational field trip and provide students with learning experiences beyond the classroom.

BLMS — $966 to support electrical and lighting improvements that enhance hands-on student learning.

AJ Winters Elementary — $750 to support a fifth-grade educational field trip and provide students with an enriching learning experience.

Paris Elementary — $437 to purchase 15 portable microscopes and expand hands-on science learning opportunities for students.

Since 1987, the BLEF has provided hundreds of grants for teachers for equipment, books, personal education, and training, all aimed at improving the quality of education in their individual classrooms.
