Board Officers

Dan serves as the Chair of the Bear Lake Education Foundation, bringing over a decade of experience as a communication consultant and leader. In his current role as Change & Enablement Manager at Allstate, Dan is responsible for developing and implementing strategic programs within the Law & Regulation department. His expertise in strategic communication, employee engagement, and cross-functional leadership has been honed through various influential roles, including leading communication efforts for Allstate's compliance and ethics programs. A graduate of Idaho State University, Dan is passionate about fostering academic excellence in the Bear Lake School District. He lives in Bennington with his husband, Nic, their son, two cats and three dogs.

Lauren serves as Vice Chair of the Bear Lake Education Foundation and is deeply connected to the Bear Lake community. Through her work with the Bear Lake Athletic Club, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to creating opportunities for local youth and supporting programs that promote health, teamwork, confidence, and personal growth. Her experience working within the Bear Lake School District has also given her firsthand insight into the needs of students, educators, and families. Lauren is passionate about giving back and strengthening educational and extracurricular opportunities for Bear Lake students. As Vice Chair, she enjoys working alongside the BLEF board to support programs, provide resources, and build partnerships that make a lasting difference in the Bear Lake School District. Lauren and her family are proud to call the Bear Lake area home and value the strong community support that makes it a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

Tabetha serves as the Secretary of the Bear Lake Education Foundation and the teacher representative for Bear Lake High School. A Bear Lake native, Tabetha graduated from BLHS in 1993 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in English from Idaho State University, followed by a Master of Arts in English from the University of Idaho. Before returning to Bear Lake in 2010 to teach at BLHS, she spent a decade teaching college English, primarily at San Diego State University. Now in her 27th year as an educator, Tabetha’s commitment to fostering educational excellence is stronger than ever. Her passion for education is reflected in her long-standing involvement with BLEF, where she has contributed significantly to initiatives that provide students and teachers with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Tabetha’s dedication to her students and her community exemplifies her belief that every student in Bear Lake deserves access to a high-quality education.

Teresa serves as the Treasurer of the Bear Lake Education Foundation and brings extensive experience in accounting, financial management, and business operations to the board. She earned an associate degree in accounting from Ricks College and currently works with Asset Accounting Services in Montpelier. Throughout her career, Teresa has held financial leadership roles and developed a strong background in accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial oversight. Her experience and attention to detail help ensure BLEF responsibly manages its resources and donor contributions while continuing to support students and educators throughout the Bear Lake School District.

Aimee is the Executive Director for the Bear Lake Education Foundation and the Grant Writer for the Bear Lake School District, where she helps advance new educational opportunities by securing funding for programs, classes, and school improvements. For the past eight years, she has worked as an Industrial Hygiene Technician at the hospital in Soda Springs, performing audiometric and pulmonary function testing for patients and mine employees, and while she continues to enjoy that work, she is excited to expand her impact through grant writing. Motivated by the opportunity to improve the experiences and lives of students, Aimee joined the BLEF at the end of September and is committed to building on the strong legacy of the previous Executive Director and Grant Writer. Growing up in Bear Lake, she has seen firsthand how the community comes together—especially for those in need—and she loves the support the schools consistently receive. Her favorite part of working with BLEF is hearing the passion of the board, seeing how deeply everyone cares about the students, and collaborating with people who work tirelessly to achieve the Foundation’s mission.
